Manuscript reproduced in its entirety in the album of L'AUTOGRAPHE of 1864 page 94. Two pages in-12, Paris, March 26, 1874, concerning the acquisition of his dictionary "It is a long time since any dictionary has been at my disposal, and everything is in the hands of Mr. Hachette". Two and a half pages in-16, Paris, July 29, 1858, to a confrere "I have taken it upon myself to recommend to you the book by Mr. le Comte d'Escayrac de Lauture, la Turquie et les Pays musulmans, a book which, I think, has been given to you. Mr. d'Escayrac...already well known through various books, including a very remarkable book on Sudan..."
