HISTORICAL MEMORY. An oval frame of moving form made of blackened wood with an engraving depicting the Emperor, a crown of dried foliage and leaves, pieces of wood and masonry and a metal crucifix in the background.
This set of relics comes from St. Helena. At the back of the frame is a handwritten inscription: "Fragments from the tomb of Napoleon I, who died at Saint Helena, brought back by Count Emmanuel Las Cases and given by him to
Alexandre Peroy".
Size of the frame: 21 x 27 cm
A polychrome plaster STATUS depicting the Emperor in feet (restorations) is attached.
