Signed manuscript from the first half of the 16th century of 63 pages on vellum (unencumbered) in-4 (25x20cm), sowskin turned over. The former parish of Les Troux, together with the hamlets of Boullay and Montabé, now forms the commune of Boullay-les- Troux, which once belonged to the Knights Templar, then to the Hospitallers and the Chevreuse castellery. Between 1574 and 1589, Alexandre Legrand, adviser to the parliament of Paris, gave the village of his fiefdom of Holes to Henry of Lorraine, Duke of Guise and Chevreuse. In this confession, the village is called Saint-Jehan-des-Troux for the first time. Some of the names mentioned: Anthoine Duprat baron de Thiers, Nicolas Legrand advisor and ordinary doctor of the King, Jehan Quignet, Jehan Rousseau, Martin Thouin, Mathurin Pelletier, Jehan Larcher, Robert Dupont, Symon Belanger, Jacques Sarra, Nicolas Morin etc.. Most of the inhabitants are farmers and merchants...
