Bound in a gilt binding with Renaissance-style gilt frames on covers, fillets with spandrels filled with dotted lines and coat of arms in the centre, spine embellished with five ribbed boxes, fillet on edges, pretty garland of frames on a counterplate, red moire lining and endpapers, gilt edges. 312 pages (some browning) and 31 pages "Le Jardin des Plantes". First edition of this poetic collection dedicated to Chateaubriand, decorated with six engravings, four of Paris monuments and two portraits, one of Voltaire and one of Frederick II. Bound in a binding signed by Capé, with the arms of Frederick William IV, King of Prussia (1795-1861). Nice copy
