The Practical Science of Printing, containing very easy instructions for perfecting this art. There is a description of all the parts of which a press is constructed, with the means of remedying any defects that may occur. With a new and very easy method to impose all kinds of Impositions, from the In-folio to the In-cent-vingthuit. In Saint-Omer by Martin Dominique Fertel and is sold in Paris at Ph. Lottin, 1741; in-4, period calf, decorated back with nerves (split jaws). Title reassembled and doubled, vignette, (9 ff.), 292 pages, (5ff.) (Wetness and dirt due to the ink of a printing press). Four folding tables and two plates showing presses, i.e. six folding plates, one of which is double-page (two are lined), numerous figures in the text and reproductions of title pages of various works. An important and rare manual that gives detailed instructions for the operations of the printing press. A copy for use.
