JOURDAN (Eric)
[Two manuscripts]. Autograph manuscript of his book entitled "Entre Chien et Loup". First draft with erasures of 240 pages, a certain number of double-sided, in sheets on different papers, many pages at the head of a Berlin hotel, typescript of 11 pages and 19 photocopies of book pages. The whole in an undershell, with the framed title "Between dog and wolf" and the crossed-out subtitle "Dessous à côtés ailleurs" followed by a text explaining the conditions under which the short stories were written "Most of these texts were translated by me, in Paris-Berlin comings and goings in the back of the car, hence the writing". Folder, canvas case in-4 (35.5x24.5 cm), title piece. All the stories in this anthology have fear and fantasy as their denominator. Apart from Edgar Poe translated by Baudelaire and Hoffmann, all other short stories have been translated for the first time or reproduced, with only the collaboration of Julien Green for Hawthorne. This very interesting anthology was published in 1986 by Editions Marensell and by Le Seuil in 1989. Joint: Autograph manuscript of eight unpublished tales, entitled "Loup y es-tu ?", with a striped subtitle "A bas tout". Notebook in-8 (21x17cm) of 147 ruled pages, scratched on all for the last two tales on double-sided pages, illustrated with a large drawing. Table of tales: Le Jouet de l'autre, Taïaut, La Sublime porte, Petits loup et mères grands, Un Noël monstre, Le Fils de Barbe Bleue, La tour prends garde, Le Pire des enchanteurs. With a poem in preface entitled "Salut, n'espérarez pas, ouvrir ses pages, trouver le ronron quotidien. It's boring to be wise. And you'll soon see by use that you get nothing out of it.... Down with ogres and fairies, princes, queens, kings..." JOURDAN (Éric, named Jean Éric Green, 1930-2015)
