Laurens éditeur (1905) ; large in-8 (25x19 cm), khaki percaline boards (a little rubbed), cover decorated with a polychrome composition illustrating Joan of Arc at the head of her army crossing the city of Compiègne, smooth spine with title and small motifs in black and ochre (a little chipped), second cover decorated with the mark of the collection Plume et Crayon, price tag (foxing) on the back cover, yellow speckled edges, slipcase (personalized, modern) 132 pages, frontispiece in colour, three hors-texte in colour and in-text illustrations in black. Unique copy, decorated on the false title page with a beautiful original watercolour by Robida, illustrating in the foreground a soldier in armour and in the background gunners besieging the city of Compiègne, watercolour signed and dedicated "to my friend Georges Decaux".
