Paris, Decaux éditeur, 1888; in-4 (31x23 cm), half blue morocco bradel (very slightly rubbed) with corners, smooth mosaic spine decorated with gold and silver mistletoe throughout, two portraits, one of which is a helmeted military man and a red and green banner, with gilt title and author, as well as a small gilt iron at the foot, illustrating an owl, lined slipcase. Colour frontispiece, 404 pages, untrimmed, numerous illustrations in and out of the text in black and in colour. One-piece folding cover, illustrated with a large composition in colour, a magic lantern projecting a panorama of people in period costumes. One of 50 copies on unjustified japon paper, numbered n°15, initialled in pen by the publisher on the false title page, on which is a beautiful original signed watercolour illustrating a painter resembling Robida, seated in front of his canvas, painting the portrait of a young seated woman, with a landscape in the background with the caption "Mon Dieu ! How nice it must be in Meudon!" A fine copy, in a binding by David
