First printing of black and colour illustrations in the text. Front protected by serpente and ten plates in colour or in two tints. Extravagant account of the extraordinary journey undertaken on a donkey by Narcisse Dumollet to reach Saint-Malo. Bound by Engel and Souze. Copy enriched with a very beautiful wash in brown monochrome with white highlights, signed at the bottom right (29x23 cm), used to illustrate the hors-texte on page 32, entitled "L'Hôtel du cerf-volant".
