The Aphorisms of Brillat Savarin. No publisher's name or date. Paris, Auguste Blaizot, 1905; large in-8 (29 x21cm), half brown chagrin (rubbed), cover boards, the first illustrated with an etching. Very rare suite of 20 illustrations for the Aphorismes, mounted on tabs, including the cover, illustrated by Robida.
This suite was published by Auguste Blaizot and printed in an edition of only 54 copies, seven on Chine, 42 on Japon and five on Vélin hors-commerce. There was an original etching for the cover. This copy and one of the 42 on
Japon paper (not justified), containing a suite on Japon paper (same illustrations in a smaller format), text of each aphorism and printed in red
