Le Poème de Rhône, in XII songs. Provençal text and French translation by Frédéric Mistral. Paris, Alphonse Lemerre éditeur, 1897; in-12, half brown morocco with five corners, triple cold-stamped fillets in box, gilt head, untrimmed, yellow cover and spine, lined case (restored). The poet thanks Robida in an autograph letter of three pages, mounted on tabs at the head of the copy "...These 38 pictures where your imagination, served by a master pencil, has realized for the eyes the poet's recitative, have well the epic and vaguely distant life of my disappeared heroes, the landscape ... wonderfully evokes the Rhone coastline and the types are happily interpreted...". Ex-libris. Beautiful and rare copy in a binding attributed to Devauchelle. Ref : Edmond Lefevre, bibliographie mistralienne
