Tallandier éditeur (1902); very large in-4 (32x26 cm), publisher's cream percaline boards with bevelled edges (rubbed, spine browned and stained, partly unstuck), illustrated with a coloured composition signed L. M (Lucien Métivet), representing masks of the masters of caricature, linked together by a set of strings, like puppets, operated by a nymph. Binding signed Engel. Covers illustrated in colours, the first plate with the illustration of the cartonnage. Preface by Léon Roger-Milès. A collection of 18 issues of ten full pages, each of this satirical review illustrated with unpublished drawings in black and in colour, some in double plates. Each issue is dedicated to a master of caricature: Albert Guillaume, Ferdinand Bac, Ch. Huard, H. Gerbault, Caran d'Ache, C. Léandre, Job, B. Rabier, Abel Faivre, Albert ROBIDA, including a futuristic double plate in color entitled "La Sortie de l'Opéra", Steinlen, Hermann Paul, Balluriau, Forain, Lucien Métivet, P. Grün, Willette. Bound at the end of the volume with five plates on strong album cover paper Ex-libris of J.J.M.S. de Marliave. Attached an original drawing (unsigned) illustrating the giant Gargantua, a preparatory drawing heightened in pen illustrating the cover page of the issue dedicated to Robida (32x26 cm), with important differences compared to the work of Rabelais, this drawing is annotated in Robida's hand "Vol I de l'ex. Chine for m. Ferroud" (Ferroud publisher and friend of Doucet)
