Albert ROBIDA
Three Letters and a note autographs signed. Letter of four pages in-12., dated August 15, 07, located at Tréboul ferme du Réou (Finistère). Amusing letter addressed to Gabriel Marcel (1844-1909), historian of geography and librarian at the B. N., which begins as follows: "Dear Mr Marcel....placing Douarnenez in the Seine et Oise! Allow me to groan, It is really not surprising that in the middle of the 20th century we are still reduced to 4 or 5 poor parts of the world discovered by chance. Finally! Know that Tréboul is in Armorique and that it is like Douarnenez a suburb of Is,.... Perhaps by consulting your maps you will find Tréboul en Tréboulais, the main site which reigns superbly over Kerleyou...". He also writes about his trip to Central Africa with his daughter Emilie. Letter 1 Page ¼. to a friend back from London "I had every chance during my stay in London; fine weather, just enough fog to taste it...", and about drawings for an Almanach. Letter of two pages in-12 to a colleague, then on holiday in Saint Cast "...It is quite simple after 6 to 8 months in Paris, there is nothing more interesting in this world than old stones and ancient buildings... ». Letter of one page in-16 "everything goes wrong with the medicine, I am in prey to the microbe...."
