Gargantua. Complete period text. Original drypoints by Gaston Barret. Paris, éditions d'Art Eryx, 1956; in-4 (28,5x24 cm), full burgundy chagrin, spine with six false nerves, suedette guard, cover and spine, gilt head, bordered case. 193 pages (not trimmed). One of 125 copies on large Rives vellum, numbered and signed by the artist, comprising 15 drypoints hors-texte in colors, including the frontispiece, one of which on double page, two suites with remarks on Ingres d'Arches tinted, in bistre and in black (only one is mentioned in the receipt), four plates refused in triple state, two states with remarks bound at the end of the volume. A large original pen-and-ink drawing (unsigned) adorning the blank page opposite the false title. A fine copy, in a binding by A. Blaizot
