Daumier, Henry Monnier, Bertall, Celestin Nanteuil, etc. Alexandre Houssiaux Editor, Francis Guillot successor, Paris s.d. (circa 1925) Twenty volumes in-8, half brown chagrin (some rubbing) with period corners, smooth spine decorated, gilt head, untrimmed. Frontispiece, portrait of Balzac. Edition at 120 numbered copies, on each of the twenty volumes. They include in addition to the general illustration forty suites of etchings by Emilien Dufour. This is one of the 50 copies of the first edition, including three states: the pure etching, the state before the letter with remarks and the final state with the letter.
