Four volumes in two in-8 (25x14 cm), contemporary blue half calf (a little rubbed, spine (a little faded) smooth decorated with cold fleurons. 381-(1), foxing on title pages. 382-(1). 396-(1). 374, foxing-(1). First edition complete with fold-out plate, reproduction of the poster announcing a bull run in Madrid on April 18, 1831 (torn but not missing). Balzac told the author about this work "if you do the same thing on each country, you will have made a collection unique in its kind, and which will have the greatest price".
