André DUNOYER DE SEGONZAC. - Lot 102
André DUNOYER DE SEGONZAC. 14 L.A.S. to Roland Dorgelès, 1947-1972; 23 pages in various formats (mostly on the backs of postcards), envelopes. Friendly correspondence. On Bouquet de bohême (1947): "Very moving - so evocative of an era and a world long gone. It's a beautiful book that brings back to life so many of our friends"... Thanks for an article "on my work and my life. Our two names are associated in the memory of a war we lived through. You knew how to evoke it in an admirable and true way. Our two testimonies together will, I believe, remain moving and lasting" (May 27, 1960). With Au beau temps de la Butte, he was able to "relive with you the memories of Montmartre and of so many friends, alas, no longer with us - and to rediscover your great talent intact: everything is alive, human and true with this gift of sensitive and acute observation" (Nov. 4, 1963)... His work, exhibitions... Enclosed is a sketched and annotated map to his home in Chaville; and an a.s. card from his wife Thérèse Dorny.
